The Central Medical Library is an academic monolith spread over 4000sqm on two floors, with “Reading Cocoons” – Guyton’s Library (Basic Medical Sciences), Osler’s Library (General Medicine and Medical Specialties), Lister’s Library (General Surgery and Surgical Specialties), and Boyd’s Library (Research, Education Technologies, Social Sciences and Literature), each with Books, Journals, and Computers having Internet Facility. The library has a team of well trained staff who help the students in searching for books and journals. The students also have a separate space for carrying their own study material, which is open beyond library hours. The Library houses 29000 books, 104 national and international hard copy journals, 275 e-journals and 20years of back volumes. The students have access to all of these inside the reading areas. The Library also has a syndicate space for faculty where faculty reading and discussions happen.
